April 28th marks the 3rd Anniversary of the signing of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement between the US and the Philippines, a policy which ultimately grants U.S. access to Philippine military bases and allows the U.S. military to occupy Philippine territory.  This is on top of the previous agreements: Visiting Forces Agreements (VFA, 1998), Mutual Defense Treaty (1951).
